We built this online Excel editor with privacy as the foundation. Here's exactly how we handle your information.

Your Spreadsheet Files

When you upload an Excel file to our editor, here's what happens:

• The file is processed entirely in your web browser using JavaScript
• Nothing gets uploaded to our servers
• We have no way to see or access your spreadsheet content
• When you close the browser tab, the file is gone from memory
• No copies are made, no backups are stored

This isn't just a privacy feature - it's how the technology works. Our spreadsheet editor runs client-side, meaning all the file processing happens on your computer, not ours.

Data We Do Collect

Basic Website Analytics

Like most websites, we use Google Analytics to collect standard information about how people use the site:

• Page views and which features get used
• Browser type and device information
• General location (country/city level, not precise)
• How you found us (search engine, direct link, etc.)

This helps us understand what's working and what needs improvement. We use privacy-focused analytics that don't track you across other websites.

Third-Party Services

We use a few external services to keep the site running:

• CDN providers (Cloudflare, jsDelivr) - deliver the code that makes the editor work
• Analytics service - anonymous visitor statistics
• Form service (Formspree) - handles contact form submissions

These services have their own privacy policies. None of them have access to your spreadsheet files.

Security

Since your files never reach our servers, there's no central database to hack or leak. The biggest security factor is your own device and browser.

We recommend:

• Keep your browser updated
• Use antivirus software
• Don't use the editor on public/shared computers for sensitive files
• Download your edited file and close the browser when done

Children's Privacy

Our service doesn't target children specifically, but there's nothing inappropriate about it either. Students can use the editor safely. Since we don't collect personal information from the spreadsheet files themselves, there's minimal privacy risk for users of any age.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights like:

• Asking what data we have about you (spoiler: very little)
• Requesting deletion of your data
• Opting out of analytics
• Filing complaints with data protection authorities
